FAQ Printer Problems

Q/ I have bought a new printer bundled with CISS, but upon installing at home or office, the printer responded to print but there is no ink printed on paper. What can I do?

Answer/ Make sure to open the small air hole rubber cap on top of the CISS tank to smoothly flow the ink to the cartridges.

Q/ I already open the air hole, but the color print was unstable or incomplete.  What should I do?

Answer/ Proceed to Control Panel>Devices and Printers , then find the installed printer and right click, choose Properties.  Go to Maintenance, Press Head Cleaning Button>Start.  Your Printer will now respond.  After doing the said procedure, Press the Nozzle Check Button>Print, the printer will produce print, this is to verify the accuracy of the head print.

Q/ There's an excessive blot of ink in paper after printing.  How can I deal with this?

Answer/ Place a two (2) inches thickness of a flat object at the bottom of the printer to increase its level compare to ink tank.  Close temporary the air hole rubber cap and do a couple of head cleaning under Maintenance of Printer Properties.  Open the air hole rubber and make a nozzle check print.

Q/ My epson printer prompt me error message "End of Service Life" and the printer is stop working.  Is my printer broken?

Answer/ It is only a little page counter within the printer that will make your computer display this message after reaching a certain number of pages printed. Once this happens you will not be able to use the hardware anymore and will be tempted to buy another one.  Just bring the printer unit to our Sonicmedia authorized shop and we provide service for printer resetting.

Q/ My CISS Printer display low ink message while my ink tanks has full of ink.  What should I do?

Answer/ It is normal the printer detects the ink level.  If your printer is Epson, here what will you do.  Press the low ink button that has red light, if you got 4 cartridge low ink, you have to press it 4 times, also your cartridges will stop in the middle 4 times.  In stop position, try to find the chip reset button in your cartridge and press it with your thumb and pointing finger for 3 seconds and then release.  Press again the low ink button once and wait until your computer display the full color ink cartridges.

    If your printer is Canon, all you have to do is press the orange light button for 5 seconds.  This only happens once to your new CISS printer.

Q/ I encountered paper jam in my printer.  What will I do?

Answer/ When paper gets jammed inside your printer, follow these steps to get the printer working again. First, if the paper is sticking out from the auto-sheet feeder or the paper output tray, slowly and gently pull it out.  If it tears and leaves a piece inside, push up the document cover and take out the remaining piece.
